Body percussion is a discipline that teaches us to create rhythms on our bodies. Francesco Gherardi offers a rhythm workshop dedicated to the discovery of the body as a musical instrument. During the course, he will introduce the cultural origins of rhythms both European and non-European, with in-depth study that may include live percussion performance as well as traditional and non-traditional rhythmic sequences. All this will be applied to movement, in a group setting. The workshop is open to all, both adults and children, but is particularly suited to singers, musicians, dancers, actors, circus performers, teachers, and anyone who dreams of making rhythms but hasn’t ever allowed themselves to try it!
