For music lovers and passionates

The tabla is a percussion instrument originating from the Indian subcontinent, consisting of a pair of drums, used in traditional, classical, popular and folk music. During the course, Francesco will demonstrate how to play this particular kind of instrument. The workshops are open to all and aim to reawaken the rhythm that exists in each of us, discovering its multiple applications in our artistic experiences and in life. Under the guidance of two teachers we will embark on practical lessons on tabla and the rhythmic oral tradition. Theoretical and compositional elements of North Indian music. Practices to deepen the study of soloist rhythmic repertoire, accompaniment, and ensemble music. Guided listening of Indian music (with visual projections).
